<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss the overall events and how we would 'improve' them regarding Monster.
Thrill to hear people go "wait what" as they remember entire characters they forgot. Listen to all of us monday morning quarterback the writer who was doing three series in the process of putting the original work out! Get ready for a gap month before the next season!
...Unless you're a patron, that is.

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 72-74 of Monster, and bring this season to a cl- WAIT, NO, ONE MORE COMING.
This is just all sorts of frustration and disappointment bubbling over into a rather spirited discussion of how much this plane didn't land. Come for the ending of Monster, stay for full-on discussion of other anime, sitcoms, and things that upset everyone less than how Monster closes. Plus: ranking of blondes!

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 68-71 of Monster.
It took Naoki Urasawa to ask the question we were all wanting answered as the final arc of Monster: "What if you gave everyone in Twin Peaks a gun and then turned season 2 into a married couple?"
Oh, nobody was asking that? Too bad, we're stuck in it now.

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 63-67 of Monster.
Content warnings: suicide, child abuse, and basically anything shy of “the holocaust” you can associate with nazis
I'm going to be entirely real with you here: this episode was all but named "Eugenics Hypeman" before everyone said it was the worst possible thing we could associate ourselves with in search results. But if you want to learn about some real world events that this series might have been drawing from, look up what Sweden was up to in the 60s until laws ended it in 1972!
Also, get ready for some of the most enthralling character moments in this entire series! You will believe the Baby can be a tragic figure.

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 49-51 of Monster.
This week, we decide that Joh(an)na's proper pronouns are based on whoever's fronting, but the whole system is simply our problematic fave girlhoss. Please do not imagine pony play Johan now that we've said this.

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 45-48 of Monster.
Content warning: rather intense scene of gun violence/PTSD and possibly-too-real discussion of dementia. Both brief.
On today's episode, we continue to meet new characters ALMOST FIFTY EPISODES DEEP into Monster, learn which host is fearless about travel, and discover what subject nearly brings everyone to blows.

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss ~~all sorts of responsible uses of your money, time, and lifestyle as a mature adult~~ episodes 31-33 of Monster.
Look, y'all. If ever there was proof we need Matt to moderate Chris and I, this is the week that proves it. This is our shortest full episode on record mostly because the two of us made such good pace in discussion that we turned into gossipy coworkers at the world's worst office, and we sliced out anything that wasn't remotely interesting. Just two people bringing the daddy energy for most of an hour.
Spend good money on your chairs and your sleep aids. Also, I want it noted that despite my making a few "goofs" in the episode art, the screenshot this week is an easter egg on the show's part, not mine.

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 28-30 of Monster.
MASSIVE CONTENT WARNING: Suicide, alcoholism and relapse should be warned about this week. This arc is kind of hard to give you safe points on this given how much all of these play into the events.
This week, we bid farewell to a character we've grown to love after every single warning sign that he will die rises in advance, but don't worry: it's Brimley Time. Plus: have you been wondering where the protagonist of this manga went? We might have answers for you!

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 25-27 of Monster.
MASSIVE CONTENT WARNING: Suicide, alcoholism and relapse, and probably the policeman who kills a 16 year old should be warned about this week. This arc is kind of hard to give you safe points on this given how much all of these play into the events.
This week involves scheduling delays, knowledge from beyond the veil, secret families, and chain restaurants. Plus: which host is the most likely to solve the Lament Configuration? Literally nobody will be surprised!
Show Notes:
Club Applebee's is now deceased, and the website I mention gone with it, but here's an older article (https://www.businessinsider.com/club-applebees-2013-5) that went into the weird Florida debauchery that came with the events.

MASSIVE CONTENT WARNING: Ep. 19 contains a lot of terribly clinical discussion of a serial killer and his sometimes-sexual crimes. Timestamps are in the episode for when to skip to to avoid this.
This week begins the Vanished Matt arc of Monster, and Chris learns that Sibyl has a terrifying new power. Also: slice of life events and coffee crimes!

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 15-17 of Monster.
MASSIVE CONTENT WARNING: Hard-right militias of the kind that might reside in Germany abound this episode, with a side of the murder of a sex worker. There is really no getting around it with this arc. I cannot give a 'skip to', if this is triggering, you're going to want to skip this week. Next episode is very chill.
With that said, this is where we start to see everyone evolve (or stay stunningly predictable...) and Urasawa answers the question of "what does a guy have to do to REALLY ratchet up the tension around this place"?
Plus: if you're aware of literally anything about one of our hosts, giggle along with her this week.

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 11-14 of Monster.
MASSIVE CONTENT WARNING: Whole lot of discussion of gaslighting and child abuse in the first two episodes of this block. Skip to 34:40 if you're worried and all you need to know - Tenma has a ward now.
This week takes us deep into German history on a lot of levels as we probe Johan Liebert's past and just keep getting involved in the messy drama of every old person in East Germany. Plus: a two-pronged character study episode, and a tangent so stupid we moved it to the ending!

<description>In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 1-3 of Monster.
We begin a new season with something unlike the shows we've covered so far: Naoki Urasawa's Monster. A crime thriller period piece, it follows Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a Japanese doctor in Germany, as he finds himself drawn into a web of politics, murder, and deceit that threatens to swallow him alive.
But at this point in the story he's just a naive 20-something who's colorblind to the concept of a woman made out of red flags.
Show Notes
The opening theme to Monster (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msTB5r8nUHU), Grain, compared to...
Transiente, by Quilapayun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdgMBx3gZCo). I later found out that it wasn't the opening, this was used in the anime at a certain scene (in the Japanese broadcast only, never internationally). It's still good!

<p>We begin a new season with something unlike the shows we&#39;ve covered so far: Naoki Urasawa&#39;s <em>Monster</em>. A crime thriller period piece, it follows Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a Japanese doctor in Germany, as he finds himself drawn into a web of politics, murder, and deceit that threatens to swallow him alive.</p>

<p>But at this point in the story he&#39;s just a naive 20-something who&#39;s colorblind to the concept of a woman made out of red flags.</p>
